Renewable energy is the way forward to reduce our carbon footprint.
Government policy is driving change in how we heat our homes and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and wants to install 600,000 low-carbon heat pumps annually within five years. Interest in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) is increasing and there are currently government grants such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme which gives out £5,000 grants to help households switch to heat pumps. Concerns have been raised regarding the noise emitted from ASHPs, and the Microgeneration Certificate Scheme MCS 020 is currently under review. dBC believes it is important to contribute to any review and concerns regarding noise from ASHP and be informed of the constantly changing and advancing technology of ASHPs, including reducing the level of noise emitted.
