The noise survey is the fundamental aspect of acoustic consultancy. A survey determines the source emission, noise levels either side of a partition or commonly the acoustic environment at receptor locations. The noise survey data is used in noise impact, environmental noise, construction noise, building acoustics and noise at work assessments and compliance monitoring.The assessment type determines the noise survey requirements. Using experience the consultant will understand the nature, duration and noise survey requirements prior to arriving on site.
